Drama
Maker
A branding firm that returns story and passion to workplaces that have lost their heat. We designed it as a place that lights a single ember inside a quiet darkness.
A single ember within the stillness.
"Bring passion to organizations. Bring drama to offices." They return story to workplaces that have lost their heat — turning "water on a hot stone" into turning the stone itself into a sponge. Their work is to lodge heat in cold places.
This was the only "organizational" project among the six works. What was asked for was not a bright, upbeat corporate site. To hold KHZ's quiet darkness, and to light a single ember deep within it. From a cold workplace (before) to a place where story lodges (after). Not through spectacle, but through a passion smouldering at the bottom of the stillness, we convey the leader's solitary heat. That was the single thing this place was asked to carry.
Design is not the noisy raising of spirits; it is setting a single ember at the bottom of the stillness. Here we keep, one by one, the decisions made for this place.
-
Heat from the bottom of stillness, not brightness.
We do not take the bright corporate tone. Holding KHZ's deep black, we convey passion through the heat smouldering at its base alone — a single drop of red. Clamour would thin the leader's solitary heat.
-
Design before→after as a story.
A workplace that has lost its heat, and a place where story now lodges. That gap is shown not as a comparison table but as one continuous story — quietly following the moment a cold stone turns into a sponge that drinks heat.
-
Set the words as a declaration.
"Bring passion to organizations. Bring drama to offices." Their words are set large, not as a tagline but as a declaration. On a quiet screen, that one line alone carries heat.
-
Let heat come from negative space, not colour.
We do not render passion in loud colour. Into the tension of deep black and negative space, we set a single drop of dark red. A restrained screen shows the heat all the denser.
Design that lights, over design that clamours.
What a work leaves out decides the density of its heat. Because the subject is passion, we deliberately let go of brightness and excess.
A bright corporate formatAn upbeat, bright tone scatters the heat at the bottom of the stillness. By holding the darkness, we make the single ember denser.A wall of achievement figuresLine up the numbers at the front, and the solitary passion thins into "results." Not data, but story and stillness, to convey it.Loud, plentiful accent colourThe more colour you add, the thinner the heat. By narrowing to a single drop of dark red, that one point burns.
It opens, and inside a hushed darkness a single ember is burning. With each scroll a cold workplace turns, quietly, into a place where story lodges. Neither bright nor loud — at the bottom of the deep black, only the leader's solitary passion smoulders red. There is no spectacle anywhere; the stillness itself makes the heat all the denser.
That stillness and heat hold each other in tension, on a single screen. That was the achievement of this work.
Figures such as traffic or inquiries are not placed in this column. That the heat never cooled, to the very end, without the stillness ever breaking — that single point is what we consider the achievement of this work.
