Framer website design and development
Most Framer work is sold as building. The building is the cheap part — Framer is fast on purpose. What decides whether the site brings you anything is the part that happens before a single frame is drawn: what goes on the page, what stays off it, and in what order a stranger meets them. That decision is made here by a fashion art director, not left to a template.
A finished site on your own Framer account, not a file you now have to understand
You are handed the project inside your own Framer account. You can publish it, edit it, hand it to somebody else, or cancel us — without asking. Nothing is held back as leverage, because a site you cannot change is a site that is already out of date.
Every build includes, without being asked for:
- The layout drawn at desktop, tablet and phone widths — not one layout squeezed three ways
- A type scale and spacing system decided once and applied to every page
- Motion that is felt rather than watched, and that never delays a first read
- Anything that repeats — posts, projects, products — built as a CMS collection you can add to
- Titles, descriptions and social cards written page by page, not generated in bulk
- A contact form tested with a real submission before we say it is done
- A pass at real loading weight: images exported at the size the layout asks for, not the size they arrived at
And the two cases where we will tell you it is not
Framer is right when the site has to look art-directed, has to be edited by your own team afterwards, and has to be live in weeks rather than quarters. Marketing sites, studio and agency sites, product and launch pages, portfolios, small commerce fronts that point at a checkout elsewhere.
It is the wrong answer when the site needs a real membership area with accounts and permissions, or when it must read from a database you already run. We say that at the quote stage, before you have paid anything, because finding it in week three is a much more expensive conversation.
A bilingual site where the Japanese half is set, not merely translated
Japanese has no spaces between words, so a line breaks in the middle of a name. There is nowhere to type a reading above a character. The quarter-em of air that belongs between Japanese and Latin letters is simply absent. None of this appears on a checklist, and a Japanese reader will not name the reason — they will only feel that the page was not finished, and leave.
We wrote three plugins for Framer that fix exactly those three things, and they are published on the Framer marketplace. That is not a claim to understand Japanese typesetting. It is the evidence, and you can install it yourself before you hire anyone.
Three of these are ours, and two of them you can buy in a minute
You do not have to take our word for any of the above. The plugins that fix Japanese in Framer are ours, they are published on the Framer marketplace, and the free versions install in one click. If your site is already in Framer and only the Japanese is wrong, this may be the whole fix — and it costs less than an hour of anybody's time.
Kumihan — line breaking that falls between words
Free / Pro $25
Japanese has no spaces, so a browser breaks a line wherever the box ends — including through the middle of your own brand name. Kumihan breaks by phrase instead. Chinese and Thai as well.
Rubi — a reading above the character that needs one
Free / Pro $19
Names, places and anything a reader cannot be assumed to know. Framer has nowhere to type this; Rubi puts it back. Pinyin for Chinese too.
Waei — the air where Japanese meets Latin
Free
A quarter of an em between the two scripts. Absent, the sentence looks crowded; overdone, it looks like a machine did it.
If you would rather not do it yourself, we set the Japanese on an existing site as a small, bounded job — that is the cheapest way to work with us, and it is meant to be a first job rather than a commitment.
Three sizes, and the number is fixed before anything is built
One page, designed and built
from $900
A single scroll that has one job — a launch, a product, a studio front. Copy shaped with you, layout drawn at three widths, form connected and tested. About two weeks. This is the smallest honest thing we will build, and it is where most first projects with us start.
Full site, up to twenty pages
from $3,000
Structure, type system, motion, one CMS collection, metadata page by page, and the whole thing handed over on your account. About four weeks. A second language is quoted on the same page so you can see what it costs on its own.
Moving an existing site into Framer
from $3,000
A migration is not a redesign, and the risk sits in the addresses, the content model and the pages nobody remembers. The redirect map is written before anything is built.
Ongoing edits and care
from $200 / month
For teams who would rather send a sentence than open the editor. A set number of changes each month, done in writing, with no minimum term. Optional, and never assumed.
We do not discount. A lower number would mean fewer hours on the part you cannot see — the second language, the metadata, the phone layout — and that is the part you are paying for. If the number is wrong for your project, say so and we will tell you honestly whether a smaller scope still makes sense.
Send the current site or a sentence about what the new one has to do. A written scope and a fixed number come back within two working days, at no cost and with nothing to sign.
Four steps, in writing, with no calls required
You send the material and what the site has to achieve. We send back a written scope, a fixed number and a date. Nothing is charged for this.
Structure and the first screen, before anything else is drawn. If the first screen is wrong, the rest of the site cannot save it — so it is agreed on its own.
The build in Framer, at three widths, with the CMS in place. Two rounds of revisions are included and named in the scope, so nobody has to guess what a round is.
Form tested with a real submission, metadata checked page by page, the project transferred to your account. Then it is yours, with or without us.
We work across time zones in writing, which also means every decision has a record. No meeting is required at any point.
A fashion art director, working with an AI Creative Agent Team
KHZ ART is led by a fashion art director. The production runs on an AI Creative Agent Team — software agents, not people — which is why a build of this depth is possible at this price and at this speed. We say so on every page rather than leaving it to be discovered.
What that buys you is not volume. It is that the judgement of what belongs on a page, and what does not, is made by someone who has spent a career deciding exactly that.
What you can check before speaking to us, in order of how long it takes: the three Framer plugins above — install one and look at your own page; SUMI, a complete Framer build laid out decision by decision; and this site, sixty-four pages in two languages.
How much does a Framer website cost?
A one-page site starts at $900. A full site of up to about twenty pages with one CMS collection starts at $3,000. The number is fixed in writing before anything is built, and it covers design, build, the three widths, metadata and a working form. Your own Framer subscription is separate and paid to Framer, not to us.
How long does it take?
About two weeks for one page, about four weeks for a full site — counted from the day the content is in our hands rather than from the day of the order, because that is the honest clock.
Do we own the project afterwards?
Yes. It is transferred to your own Framer account. You can publish, edit, or hand it to another designer without asking us for anything.
Can you work from an existing brand or design file?
Yes. If you have a design already, we build it faithfully and tell you the two or three places where it will not survive a phone screen. If you do not have one, the design is part of the price above.
What if we only need a few sections changed?
Then say so. Small, clearly bounded work is quoted as small work — we would rather do one honest page for you now than talk you into a full site you do not need yet.
Can the site be in Japanese as well as English?
Yes, and it is set rather than translated: line breaks that fall between words, furigana where a name needs a reading, and the right air between Japanese and Latin letters. The three Framer plugins that do this are ours and are published on the Framer marketplace.
You use AI. Where does our material go?
Client material is not put into consumer chat tools and is not used to train anything. We can send our written position on this before you share a single file.
Send the current site, or one sentence about the new one.
